Casebook has no accounts, no ads and no cookies.

What stays in your browser

Your notebooks, times, hints, tries, solved cases, streak and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage (keys starting with cb1:). They are never uploaded. You can delete them at any time on My casebook, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Visitor statistics

To learn which cases people enjoy, Casebook may use a self-hosted, cookieless Umami analytics script from stats.idistic.com. It records page views and a few anonymous events: a case opened, started, solved or revealed, a hint asked for, a result shared, the archive opened, a return visit on a new day and links to our other sites. Events carry the case name, the mode (daily, practice, tutorial) and counts of hints and tries. They never include your marks, your answer, the clues or anything you type. Umami doesn’t use cookies or identify you across sites.

Nothing else

Casebook loads no third-party fonts, images or scripts. It doesn’t send your results to any comparison service. Questions: support@twindle.nl.
